Imphal, July 21 2022: BJP Manipur Pradesh is all set to celebrate the historic win of NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu in the 15th presidential election for four days with chief minister N Biren is expected join the victory march.

After getting news about Murmu consolidating her lead over Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha and inching towards victory at about noon on Thursday, the state unit BJP planned a series of celebratory programmes including convening press meet, celebration at Ramji village and victory march from western gate of Kangla.

The press meet, however, was cancelled after the party decided to conduct the same after confirmation of the election result.

Nevertheless, some party leaders started the celebration with bursting of firecrackers.

The victory march which was planned to be taken out from the western gate of Kangla too was deferred for Friday.

Mention may be made here that chief minister N Biren had disclosed that NDA's presidential election win will be celebrated for four days in the state and discussion in this regard had been held with central leaders.
