SDC office re-opens at Borobekra

After remaining un-utilised for a long time, the office of Sub Deputy Collector (SDC), Borobekra has been opened with deployment of requisite staff.
The re-opening of the SDC office on Thursday was
attended by Jiribam DC Malemnganba Chenglei, officials of different departments and local leaders including Borobekra GP pardhan.
DC Chenglei informed media persons that the SDC, Borobekra office is
located around 24 km from Jiribam district headquarters and it remained closed for a long time.
However, the office was operational from Jiribam district headquarters.
District administration undertook minor repairing of the office building after initiation of chief minister's sub-divisional development plan and the office started rendering service to people with deployment of requisite staff, he said, adding that inconvenience faced by people of Borobekra in visiting SDC office at the district headquarters will be eased with opening of the office.
SDC Borobekra Moirangthem Debanand told media persons that re-opening of the SDC Borobekra office as part of chief minister's sub-divisional monitoring mission will ease suffering of the people of Borobekra.
He also said that all the
preparations for rendering service to the people have been made and the office will render its service to local people sincerely.
Meanwhile, local leaders including Borobekra GP pradhan expressed happiness over re-opening of the SDC office and hoped that inconvenience faced by local people in visiting Jiribam district headquarters for availing service of the SDC office will end now.
