Kpi DC chairs meet on tricolour campaign

Kangpokpi, July 21 2022:
Kangpokpi deputy commissioner Kengoo Zuringla on Thursday met with District Level Officers (DLOs) over the preparations and execution strategies for Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign to be held as part of
the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Discussion was also held with officials of different departments regarding the final arrangements made for District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit to be held on Friday at Sadbhavna Mandap, Kangpokpi from 9 am onwards.
Regarding the HGT campaign, Zuringla said that 43,196 flags are required for Kangpokpi district which will be hoisted across the district from August 13 to 15 .
She said the office of Divisional Forest Officer will make arrangements for the flag poles and in case institutions need more of the same then the required number shall be intimated to DC Office
by July 28 .
She stated that the objective of organising the campaign is to encourage citizens to hoist the national flag of India in their homes to mark 75th Independence Day celebration.
The DC maintained that the campaign is aimed at instilling sense of patriotism and acknowledging the journey of India in the last 75 years.
Stating that various activities will be organised as part of the campaign like painting and slogan writing competition in schools and colleges from August 8 to 12, she said as per the plan, campaign flags will be hoisted in all schools of the district and prizes for best painting and slogans will be distributed on August 15, the Independence Day.
Zuringla also informed that hoardings will be put up at five locations namely Gamgiphai, Yaikongpao, Motbung, Leikop
and Kangpokpi HQ.
She further stated that wall paintings on relevant themes, historical figures or events among others will be the highlight of the campaign.
She also asked the officers to identify
and contact local entrepreneurs for making and selling of flags.
Regarding the District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit, she urged all government departments in the district to deliver proactive redressal on grievances of the people and advised all the officers to solve the grievances/issues on the day itself if possible.
