AR units assist 'agniveer' candidates, hold meets

Moreh Battalion of IGAR (S) in collaboration with Moreh Youth Club extended assistance to Agniveer aspirants in registration for the upcoming recruitment under Agnipath scheme on Wednesday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), a motivational and informative lecture for the aspiring Agniveers was also conducted on the occasion.
The lecture elaborated the procedures for joining and the benefits associated with Agnipath scheme.
Pre-recruitment training for aspiring youth will also be conducted very soon to be better prepared for the upcoming rallies.
A total of 15 eligible youths registered for the recruitment rally.
Meanwhile, Shangshak Battalion organised security meet on Wednesday to brief the village chiefs of Kasong area regarding various security measures and checks to be ensured by them at village level and intimation about any suspected individual to the security forces at right time.
The village chiefs were also advised to keep a strict vigil on youth of the village and guide them for choosing right path and keep them away from drug menace.
Altogether 25 village chiefs of Kasong area attended the meeting.
On the other-hand, Mantripukhri Battalion of IGAR (South) organised an interaction programme with residents of Vision of Hope Rehabilitation Centre, Khonghampat in Imphal West district on Wednesday to strengthen the bond with local people.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the meet focused on interaction with the inmates and staff of the rehabilitation centre and also provided the platform for discussion of various issues being faced by them.
A total of 58 individuals attended the meeting.
