Toilet block, waiting shed inaugurated

Tengnoupal Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (S) constructed and handed over a toilet block at Leitan village in Tengnoupal district on the occasion of 187th raising day of Assam Rifles on Thursday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that as part of Assam Rifles' Civic Action Programme, the toilet block was constructed to provide a healthy and disease-free environment for the villagers.
Tengnoupal Battalion and 165 Infantry Battalion TA of IGAR (South) also constructed and handed over a waiting shed at Lokchao Village astride NH-102 in Tengnoupal district on the auspicious occasion of 187th Assam Rifles raising day.
The all-weather waiting shed was handed over to the village authorities as part of Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme Meanwhile, Phundrei Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (S) extended humanitarian aid to Mission Blind School in Chandel district on Thursday on the occasion on Assam Rifles' raising day.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the Mission Blind School is completely dependent on voluntary donations and faces shortage of basic amenities.
Assam Rifles standing true to its motto "Sentinels of the Northeast" took up the social welfare step of providing basic essential commodities to the school.
These small initiatives will bring positivity in the minds of villagers and happiness in the hearts of the children, the PRO said.
