BOI Oinam branch inaugurated

Imphal, March 24 2022:
The Oinam Nagar (Nambol) branch of Bank of India (BOI) and an ATM booth were inaugurated by BOI Guwahati Zone zonal manager Ramesh Kumar on Thursday.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Ramesh Kumar recounted that BOI was launched by a group of successful businessmen from Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra on September 7, 1906 and granted recognition as a nationalised bank in 1969 .
Today, there are more than 5,000 branch es of the bank spread across the country, he said adding that BOI is also one of the first banks to operationalise ATM.
The zonal manager further said that the bank will focus more on providing loans instead of extending service for deposits.
Maintaining that customers are the real owner of the bank, he expressed confidence that its services will grow manifold if the customers get proactively involved in banking activities.
The inaugural function was also attended by Oinam Nagar (Nambol) branch manager Thonsonmung and land owner of the branch Manikanta among others.
