Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme begins

Deputy Commissioner of Senapati district, Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS on Thursday launched the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization/National Immunization Day, 2022 at Mini Stadium, Senapati.
The programme organised with the theme, "Let the victory over Polio continue with two drops of life" was attended by Dr A Pfokreho Pfoze, CMO/Director, District Health Society, Senapati; and Dr Ngouniba Peter, DIO Senapati; along with Rapid Response Team, WHO, DPO, ICDS Cell, Senapati and ASHA facilitators.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ngouniba Peter informed that a total of 390 polio booths including 44 polio booths in the District Headquarters have been arranged in Senapati district to administer polio vaccine to the children.

Dr A Pfokreho Pfoze urged all to take part in the immunization programme to ensure a Polio free district.
Moreover, DFWO Dr Ksh Memcha Devi also launched the "National Immunization Days, Polio vaccination programme" at Health & Wellness Centre, Urban Primary Health Centre in CMO Complex, Thoubal Wangmataba on Thursday.
The campaign was jointly organised by District Health Society Thoubal and District Family Welfare Officer Thoubal under National Health Mission.
At the event, Dr Ksh Memcha Devi informed that the campaign will target to vaccinate a total of 42,700 children while adding that 330 Polio booths, 15 mobile teams and 66 supervisors have been engaged to carry out the vaccination in Thoubal district.
Dr Ksh Memcha further stated that a total of 1320 vaccinators will carry out their duties to achieve the target vaccination.
