Shija Academy to open OPD service from Apr 18

Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), the first homegrown private medical college in the northeast, would be commence its OPD service from April 18, Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI) chairman cum managing director Dr Kh Palin has informed.
Addressing a press meet on Saturday, Dr Kh Palin informed that for the OPD service patients can book the tickets from 7.30 am till 11 am and consultation/service will begin from 8am.The ticket price is Rs 100 only.
He also informed that the OPD would be open for 7 departments, namely General Medicine, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Respiratory Medicine, Dermatology and Psychiatry.
CMHT and PMJAY card holders can avail their benefits as well, while outpatients can avail 5 percent discount on all medicines purchased from the pharmacy located within the campus.
Dr Kh Palin then said that in accordance with the guidelines of National Medical Commission (NMC) and in association with the State Health Society, regular classes for the first batch of 150 students commenced from February 14.SAHS is an academic wing under the management of SHRI and efforts are being taken up to prevent the medical college from facing any shortage, he added.
Dr Kh Palin further stated that the OPD of Shija's Corporate Hospital will continue its operation as usual.
SHRI will take a huge responsibility in promoting medical tour ism as and when the government focuses on the same, he said.
