Mirabai happy over 'clean look' of Ima Keithels

Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai and DGP Y Joykumar have expressed happiness over the manner in which the three Ima Keithels of Khwairamband market are being cleanly maintained by members of Kanglei Economic Development Organization (KEDO) and the women venders of the market.
Earlier, KEDO and women venders of Ima Keithels jointly organized a cleanliness drive along with an awareness programme in the three Ima keithels under the sponsorship of Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur.
Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai and DGP Joykumar visited Ima Keithels today in the evening to see how KEDO and the women venders are maintaining cleanliness of the market area.
During the inspection visit, the DGP presented 10 water reservoirs to be installed in the three Ima Keithels, as promised by him during the cleanliness drive carried out on August 12 .

While expressing happiness over the 'clean look' of Ima Keithels, Minister AK Mirabai stated that the three Ima keithels which are located in the heart of Imphal city is the face of Manipur.
The three Ima Keithels should always be kept neat and clean so as to maintain cleanliness in Imphal city.
She also appealed to the women venders of Ima Keithels to help in maintaining cleanliness in the market and assured of all possible help from her side in this regard.
Mirabai also handed over an amount of Rs 10,000 to the women vendors.
DGP Y Joykumar, while handing over the 10 water reservoirs, stated the water reservoirs have been provided to help in overcoming the problems of water faced by the women venders.
Water will be provided from today and the Imphal West SP has been informed to do the needful, he added.
