Three found positive, two discharged

Imphal, April 20 2023:
Government bulletin on Thursday reported three fresh cases of Covid-19 from out of 48 samples tested, thus registering a positivity rate of 6.25 percent.
The fresh cases include a 6-month-old baby from Imphal West district, a 29-year-old female resident of Bishnupur district and a 22-year-old female in Thoubal district.
On the other hand, two patients were discharged in the last 24 hours following which the number of active cases in the state stands at 8.Meanwhile, the bulletin informed that the total number of vaccinated people in the state has reached 16,49,470 out of which, 13,31,219 have received the second dose and 2,80,416 had taken precautionary doses.
According to our correspondent, the Covid-19 infection person is a resident of Churachandpur district presently pursuing nursing course at a Nursing College in Thoubal district.
She has been kept in isolation at her home in Churachandpur district.
Consequent upon her test result, samples of 19 others, who came in close contact with her, were also tested but all the samples returned negative.
