Struggling CDCC relegated to Plate group : YWC, KASC prevail in Superplate Cricket

YWC Langthabal and KASC Khomidok sealed victories in today's league matches of the ongoing 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament while CDCC Sagolband Salam Leikai have been relegated to Plate Group.
Notably, CDCC haven't registered a single win in the entire tournament so far.
They have played six matches and suffered defeat in all of them.
While YWC beat CDCC by 81 runs in Group A encounter at Public Ground, Khangabok Part III Cherapur, KASC sealed an easy 133 win over YUCC Kwakeithel Moirangpurel at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak in Group B match.
At Khangabok, YWC won the toss and decided to bat first, scoring 255 runs in 38.3 overs while CDCC scored 174 runs in the chase.

Jiko Sorokhaibam (70 off 62 balls) and Ngangbam Maheshkumar Singh (unbeaten 50 off 31 balls) of YWC knocked half centuries in the first innings.
The other top scorers of the Langthabal side were Heisnam Manikanta Singh (30 runs off 51 balls) and Pukhrambam Prashantamani Singh (28 runs off 16 balls) .
Khurshid Aslam was the top wicket taker (3 wkts) of the Langthabal side.
While fielding, YWC's Yenshenbam Vivek displayed an impressive bowling performance as he fell 5 wickets with an economy of 4.75 and played the key role in bundling out CDCC for 174 in 32.3 overs.
Md Ataur Rahaman (39 runs off 61 balls) and Mutum Jodiba (30 runs off 25 balls) were the top scorers of the Sagolband side.
The other wicket takers of YWC, on the other hand, were Pukhrambam Prashantamani (3 wkts), Ngangbam Maheshkumar Singh (1 wkt) and Maibam Subash Singh (1 wkt) .
Y Vivek was declared man of the match.
Meanwhile, KASC beat YUCC by 133 runs in the Group B encounter.
Batting first, KASC set a target of 236 runs which the Kwakeithel failed to chase as they got all out at 102 in 26.2 overs.
KASC's Muhammad Javed Aktar played an impressive cricket in both the innings as he not only smashed 58 runs off 28 deliveries but also took 2 wickets.
He was given the man of the match title.
Apart from Muhammad Javed Aktar, the other top scorers of KASC were Wasim Akram (43 runs off 29 balls) and WM Rajak (31 runs off 33 balls) .
The wicket takers of YUCC were Ningthoujam Sanjit Singh (2 wkts), N Rahulkumar (1 wkt), Shyam (1 wkt), Khundrakpam Punshiba Mangang (2 wkt), Devraj Nongthombam (2 wkts) and Ningthoujam Kenedy Singh (2 wkts) .
YUCC scored only 102 runs in the chase with Ningthoujam Sanjit Singh (34 runs off 47 balls) as the top scorer.
Md Farijuddin (3 wkts) took the maximum wickets in the second innings.
