Churachandpur, April 20 2023:
Zomi Students' Federation, General Headquarters (ZSF-GHQ) has resolved to stand firm to protect and defend Zomi land as done in the past and not to succumb to any pressure in future.
A decision in this regard was arrived at during a consultative meeting on 'tribal rights and land issues' held at Dorcas Hall, Churachandpur from 11 am on Thursday.
The consultative meeting chaired by retired IFS KS Tombing was also attended by advocate P Khamkhanthuam and Dr R Sanga during which the speakers deliberated on various issues relating to tribal rights, present impasses and solution.
A group discussion was also held before former ZSF president H Mangchinkhup delivered the concluding remark.
Appreciating all the participants of the consultative meet who are very much concerned about tribal land and rights, ZSF has appealed to Church leaders/CSOs/chiels/Innpis/intellectuals and representatives to stand united and be ready to fight together with public against the actions of subversive elements.
