The low count continues but the daily positivity rate continues to be way above the 5 percent mark, with Manipur registering 59 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The 59 new cases were detected while testing a total of 594 samples to peg the daily positivity rate at 9.9 percent.
In line with the low count of 59 new cases, four districts out of the total 16 in the State returned zero cases.
The four districts are Jiribam (124 samples tested), Noney (3 samples tested), Pherzawl (10 samples tested) and Tengnoupal (2 samples tested) .
No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours and the cumulative number of deceased persons due to the virus remains unchanged at 2129.The 59 new cases were detected while testing at RIMS (5), JNIMS (4) and other testing centres (50).The new cases, all drawn from amongst the civilians are from Imphal East (9), Imphal West (18), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (4), Kamjong (1), Kangpokpi (2), Ukhrul (2), Senapati (2), Tamenglong (1), Churachandpur (12) and Chandel (1) .
The number of active cases is now 501 including three Central security personnel.
On the other hand 99 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (68), RIMS (1), JNIMS (5) and 'Discharge' (25) .
The recovery rate is 98.11 percent and the cumulative number of recovered cases is 1,36,503 including 5007 Central security personnel.
At JNIMS out of 38 Covid beds, 17 are occupied while at RIMS out of 62 Covid beds 31 are occupied.
On July 31, a total of 340 doses were administered taking the total to 31,05,928 including 12,86,917 second dose and 2,04,298 precautionary dose.
Overall 53.99 percent of the eligible population have received the second dose of the vaccine while 62.20 percent have received the first dose.
On July 31, a total of 316 D Type oxygen cylinders and 13 B Type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres.
