'Chintan Shivir' of YAS ministers today

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) Anurag Singh Thakur will chair the two-day 'Chintan Shivir' of ministers of Youth Affairs & Sports of states and UTs here on April 24 and 25.More than 100 invitees from various states, union territories and Ministry of Youth Affairs are expected to attend the Chintan Shivir and put forward their views and ideas on making the nation fitter and making India one of the biggest sporting powers in the world.
Also, discussions will be held for working towards the objectives of personality-building and nation building, and developing the personality of youth by involving them in various nation- building activities.
Last year in June 2022, Anurag Thakur had chaired a two-day National Conference of the Ministers of Youth Affairs and Sports of states and union territories in Kevadia, Gujarat.
During the session, the states and UTs had discussed ways and plans on how to take sports ahead.
Meanwhile, ministers and delegates have started arriving for the Chintan Shivir of YAS Ministers.
According to sources, the delegates were taken for a tour of Manipur Olympian Park at Sangaithel, Imphal West, during which they showered high praises for the initiatives taken up by the state government to honour the Olympians and athletes.
They further expressed desire to replicate the same model in their respective states.
