87 people found positive in IW

Imphal, June 09 2021: During the aggressive mass testing drive carried out by district administration of Imphal West at 19 testing centres of the district on Wednesday, 2298 samples were conducted on Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) of which 87 people were found infected by Covid-19 .

As per a report issued by Imphal West DM, 149 samples were tested in Malom Tulihal of which four people were found Covid positive.

In Hiyangthang, 100 people were tested and nine of them found Covid positive, while in Singjamei Waikhom Leikai 61 people were tested and three confirmed for Covid-19; in Kwakeithel Akham Leikai, 93 samples were examined and seven found positive; in Masjid Road, 400 people were tested and one person found; in Iroisemba, 84 people were tested and five turned positive; in Moidangpok 137 samples were tested and eight found positive; in Khumbong 233 people were tested of and 12 confirmed for Covid infection; in Ghari Makha Leikai 63 people were tested and five people were found positive; in Ghari Awang Leikai 104 samples were tested and two people were found Covid positive; in Uripok Sorbon Thingel 210 people were tested out of which six of them were confirmed for Covid-19; in Sangaithel 196 samples were tested and seven found positive for Covid-19; in Kadangband 127 people were tested and 17 found positive, while in Mayang Imphal 50 people were tested of which one person was confirmed for Covid-19.Also, in Laiphrakpam Makha Leikai 139 samples were tested, 95 in Haoreibi, 8 in Airport, 49 people were tested in CRPF Mongsangei and but none was found positive, while in TG Higher Secondary School testing was not done for the day.

A release issued by DC Imphal West Th Kirankumar informed that aggressive mass testing for Thursday will be held at Paobitek Maning Leikai community hall, Irom Leikai Naharol Yaipha Lamjingkol club building, Haoreibi Makha Leikai YSU ground; Maklang Makha Leikai community hall, Luker Mayai Leikai community hall, Lamlongei Lai Lampak, Singjamei Hao Ground community hall, Uripok Bachaspati Leikai community hall, Tarung community hall, Paona Bazar Moreh Market, Tera Tongbram Leikai community hall, Uripok Khoisnam Leikai community hall, Taobungkhok Makha community hall and Konthoujam Mamang Tribal community hall.
