775 more test positive, 7 more deaths reported

Imphal, June 09 2021:
Of the 8944 samples tested in the last 24 hours, Manipur recorded 775 new positive cases with the positivity rate standing at 8.66 percent.
Apart from the new 775 new cases, Manipur also recorded seven more deaths taking the final death tally to 915 .
The seven deceased were from Imphal West (3), Imphal East (1), Kakching (1), Thoubal (1) and Churachandpur (1) .
They passed away at RIMS (2), JNIMS (3), Babina (1) and District Hospital Churachandpur (1) .
The 775 positive cases were detected at RIMS (10), JNIMS (21), District Hospitals (515) and other testing centres (229) .
The positive cases are from Imphal East (165), Imphal West (237), Thoubal (112), Bishnupur (48), Kakching (57), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (109), Chandel (10), Senapati (8), Tamenglong (1), Tengnoupal (4), Kangpokpi (13), Jiribam (8) and Noney (2) .
On the other hand 602 persons were discharged during the last 24 hours.
Out of this total, 367 were under home isolation, 7 from RIMS, 8 from JNIMS, and 220 from other Covid Care Centres.
With the addition of 775 new cases, the cumulative number of positive cases has gone up to 57,351 (general population-53,584 and Central security personnel-3767) .
The cumulative number of recovered cases stands at 47,129 including 3761 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate stands at 82.17 percent.
In the last 24 hours a total of 1401 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 552 B Type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health centres in the State.
The total number of persons vaccinated stands at 441745 .
