Many continue to distribute relief items

Amid the hardships faced by many due to the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the State, several individuals and organisations continue to extend help by distributing relief items at various places across the State.
Lamlai
Monetary aid were extended and relief items were extended to Community Home Isolation Centre opened at Bal Bidya Mandir Junior High School at Takhel, one household under home isolation at Takhel Thumbi.
to a resident of Takhel Mamang Leikai who sustained injuries during a fire incident and to Covid Task Forces of Takhel village.
The programme was carried out under the aegis of Kh Ibomcha, State Council member of BJP Manipur and chairman of COVID-19 Second Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal in the presence of A Jamini, chairperson of Lamlai Kendra Covid Awareness and Enforcement Committee and M Ningthem, pradhan of Takhel Gram Panchayat.
Also a mass testing drive for COVID-19 was conducted at Kanguchinjil Khullen and Kanguchinjil Khunou organised by Kanguchinjil Khunou Task Force under the supervision of Kh Ibomcha and A Jamini.
Around 100 persons were tested during the drive and 9 persons came out positive and were put under home isolation.
Patsoi
RK Rameshwar Singh, Managing Director of RK Fortune Developers Private Limited at Changangei has been distributing edible items to households under the Patsoi Assembly Constituency since June 1 during this second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
RK Rameshwar Singh said that as of now edible items have been distributed to more than 8000 households in Patsoi A/C and the remaining households will be covered by June 15 .
Ghari
The Ghari Youth Welfare Association, The Ghari Awang Women Development Centre and the Ghari Maning Leikai Women Development Association extended gratitude to RK Rameshwar for distributing edible items to households of Ghari and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Kongpal
North East Youth Development Organisation (NEYDO) at Kongpal Porompat Kshetri Leikai distributed edible items to around 170 households within its jurisdiction from the fund of the organisation.
Volunteers of NEYDO distributed the items to every households adhering to Covid SOPs.
Speaking on the sidelines, president of NEYDO said that in view of the hardships faced by many due to the ongoing pandemic.
NEYDO took up the initiative of distributing edible items to provide some relief to the suffering locals.
Further he appealed to all to strictly follow the Covid protocols to contain the further spread of the pandemic and assured that NEYDO will continue to help those affected by the pandemic in the future as well.
Waiton
Pradhan of Waiton Gram Panchayat, Pukhrambam Surbala donated edible items, face masks and hand sanitizers to 108 volunteers of COVID-19 Task Force Group 10.Speaking on the sidelines.
Pukhrambam Surbala said that she extended help to the volunteers to motivate them for their selfless efforts during the difficult time of the pandemic and called for concerted efforts from all to.
strive for the development of Waiton Gram Panchayat and to effectively combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Khurai
Rice and vegetables were distributed to around 200 households by Young Sports Union cum Library, Khurai Nandeibam Puthiba Leikai within its jurisdiction from the contributions made by the well wishers.
Keibi
RK Dhakasana who is a differently abled individual from Sagolmang Mamang Leikai donated face masks, hand sanitizers, one bag of rice, one bag of potato, edible oil, eggs, pulses etc to Yaibilen Children Home at Keibi.
Khundrakpam
As a part of Seva Hi Sangathan campaign, Dr Ksh Kala Singh, vice president of Kisan Morcha and convenor of Medical Cell BJP Manipur Pradesh distributed edible items to households within the containment zones of Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency.
The items were handed to members of respective COVID-19 Task Forces to be distributed to containment zones at Pukhao Terapur, Pangei Nepali, Pangei Maning Leikai, Waiton Mamang Leikai and Wairi.
Dr Ksh Kala appealed to all to strictly adhere to Covid SOPs and to get vaccinated to protect oneself from COVID-19 and appealed all in the containment zones to take proper medicines and inform the doctors if there are any complications.
