Learn languages : Education Minister at Hoomi Govt HS CCC to be opened for all

Learning multiple languages will promote unity among diverse communities, said Education Minister Th Basanta Kumar Singh said at Ukhrul on Thursday and added that Command and Control Centre (CCC) of the Education Department based on the internet will be opened.
He made the statement while inaugurating a building of Hoomi Government High School at Hoomi village, about 40 kilometers from Ukhrul town.
While inaugurating the new building, he also distributed sports kits and white board sets to the students.
He emphasised that learning different languages will help promote unity and togetherness.
The Government has launched a two month language training programme, where the participants are given incentives.

The State Government under Chief Minister N Biren Singh will be implementing different education programmes and policies, he said.
He informed that a new project called "BaLA" (Building as Learning Aid) will be implemented by January next year.
It is envisioned to reach and teach students in specialized subjects in every part of Manipur by teachers working on voluntary basis.
The Education Minister while assuring support and assistance to Hoomi High School, thanked the school management, villagers and students for the wonderful inauguration programme.
The Minister also announced that a Command and Control Centre (CCC) of the Education Department based on the internet will be opened.
The Command and Control Centre (CCC) aims to improve ICT (Information and Communication Technology) infrastructure to effectively monitor the performances of all critical Government services.
He said the Centre will sanction Rs 33 crore and soon all schools will be given the necessary infrastructure for this project.
The Command and Control Centre will have the best gadget systems of the 21st century.
Stating that the Hoomi Government High School will be given special attention in this regard, the Minister said it will also be included and properly looked after organising residential type special classes for the students of Class X .
Every Saturday is no school bag day for the students and efforts are on to teach the students not only books but also social and human resource related subjects on this day.
Only academic excellence will not make them good and successful persons.
They should be taught and made to understand social issues, he said.
The Minister also inaugurated multiple projects including a Transit Accommodation for doctors and teachers under Planning Department at Jessami and a Sadbhavana Mandab at Ukhrul DHQs under Minority Affairs Department on behalf of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Transport Minister Khasim Vashum, Deputy Commissioner Ukhrul Krishna Kumar, Additional Director Education (S) Alfred Jkhoute were present.
