Naharol Lamjing Meira, Thang-Ta bodies submit memorandums

The Naharol Lamjing Meira, Kongba Kshetri Leikai, Imphal has submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Manipur through the Deputy Commissioner Imphal East listing a charter of demands on Monday.
In a release, Naharol Lamjing Meira informed that the memorandum was submitted based on the resolutions adopted in the Sit-in Protest held on May 28 .
In the charter of demands, Naharol Lamjing Meira sought the reply of Government of India on- Why Indo Myanmar boundary particularly the boundary of Manipur and Myanmar is kept free when the Central Government has taken up maximum care in respect of the boundaries of Pakistan and China by deploying BSF, Paramilitary Forces and Indian Army; The Assam Rifles' motto is "Friends of Hills".
Are they "Enemy of the valley (Particularly Meiteis)" .
The memorandum also listed other demands such as- immediate withdrawal of SoO with Kuki Militants, Implement NRC in Manipur with 1951 Census as base year, Convene Special Manipur Assembly Session and discuss the present situation, Disqualify the 10 Kuki MLAs demanding separate administration, No fragmentation of Manipur's boundary as on October 15, 1949, Insert provision in the Indian Constitution to safeguard Meiteis as done for other minorities, Withdraw Assam Rifles from the borders and replace them by BSF and State Forces.
Moreover, the 5 apex bodies of Thang-Ta namely Leadership Council of Thang-Ta Manipur (LCTT), Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS), Apunba Huyel Lallong (AHLP), Thang-ta Loisang Sana Konung (TTLSK) and All Manipur Cheibi Association (AMCA) have submitted a memorandum demanding emergency recruitment of Manipur Rifles to Prime Minister of India and Chief Minister of Manipur.
In a release, LCTT informed that in the memorandum, the PM and CM were made aware about the long-standing demand for increasing the numbers of Manipur Rifles personnel to protect the international boundary and maintain law & order.
The demand to allocate a separate fund for emergency recruitment to increase the number of personnel of Manipur Rifles to more than 2 Lakh was also listed in the memorandum.
