Senior BJP member meets with leaders of Kuki CSOs

Kpi/Spi, May 29 2023: To bring back peace and normalcy in the State of Manipur, senior BJP leader Wilubou Newmai visited Kuki areas in Kangpokpi and Senapati districts and met with leaders of Kuki CSOs today.

During the meeting, the BJP leader said that the enmity and fight between the two communities, Meiteis and Kukis, will not bring any good to both the communities except loss.

Wilubou also said that BJP has nothing to do with the burning of Churches in the Imphal valley while also adding that secularism with respect to the BJP is to uplift every section of people economically, keeping aside religion and taking the country in the path of development and progress.

Wilubou then urged the leaders of the Kuki community to do the needful as responsible citizens and Christians to bring back peace and normalcy in the State.

He further said that forgiveness and love are the core values of Christianity.

The team led by Wilubou Newmai also visited relief camps in the areas and heard the grievances of the inmates.
