Manipur has ample human resources, asserts Imphal East DC

Imphal East Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the youths of the State to avail the benefits of skill development and career guidance programmes taken up by the Government to be skilful.
She made the above statement while speaking as the chief guest at a placement linked career guidance programme held today at the multipurpose hall of Maharaja Bodhachandra College, Palace Compound organised by the District Skill Committee, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East.
Asserting that there are ample job opportunities for skilled persons, she said that training providers these days provide opportunities in various specialised sectors starting from IT, hospitality and so on.

She stressed on the need of identifying one's suitable trade by consulting with the training providers and experts to have a flourishing career and stated that every profession is important and noble.
Citing that Manipur has a huge success rate of UPSC exams as compared to other States which have more population and better infrastructure and employment at big companies in the country and abroad, she stated that Manipur has adequate human resource though it lacks behind in terms of industry and other resources.
Maintaining that being skilled will not only help in grabbing employment but will enhance the living standard and economic status, she appealed to all to identify a profession of one's choice and to pursue it to become successful.
In today's programme, training providers of Emporium Skill Training Institute, Nagaland, JCRE Skill Solution, Thangmeiband, CIPET Imphal, NIELIT Akampat and representatives of career guidance centres sensitized the students on skill development and career guidance through detailed presentations.
The programme was also graced by Principal of the college, Dr M Chandra and Coordinator of MGNF, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, Government of India, Oinam Anuradha as the presidium members.
