CCpur medical college session likely from mid-Nov

CCpur, October 20 2022: Even as the state government is unable to decide on the date for inauguration of the temporary Churachandpur Medical College, efforts are on to start the classes with effect from November 15, 2022.Talking to this correspondent on Thursday, health minister Dr Sapam Ranjan informed that counselling for the students will start on Friday (October 21).The health minister visited the district to oversee status of the medical college during which he held a meeting with the director and faculty members of the medical college.

Dr Ranjan admitted that there are certain challenges associated with the medical college but expressed confidence that such problems would be sorted out, and tentatively set November 15 for commencement of classes.

The minister, however, said that the date for inauguration of the college is yet to be fixed though the state government in coordination with the union government will come up with the appropriate date for the inauguration after putting things in order.

He added that the focus right now is to start classes at the right time for students.

Earlier, the health minister inspected conditions of the boys' and girls' hostels, college building including toilets, dining hall, and also infrastructure of the district hospital.
