Senapati, October 20 2022:
The Tumuyon Khullen NH-2 Four Lane affected and uncompensated families have resolved to set up a committee to fight the alleged betrayal of CALA and NHIDCL.
In a release issued on Thursday, the affected families alleged that the work agencies neglected the villagers and violated their agreement.
The Tumuyon Khullen Village Authority stated that the people of Tumuyon Khullen had welcomed the mega project which will bring over all round development in the State.
"The Village Authority had assured on multiple occasions to extend co-operation to the project.
However, without taking into consideration the opinion of Village Authority even after the publication of complete Gazette of 3A, 3D & 3G and compensation was sanctioned, the CALA and NHIDCL decided to re-align in a locality on their own", it alleged.
"As the affected families and individuals in the earlier route alignment had started construction of temporary buildings for their re-located site, the decision of the agencies is pure betrayal & injustice to those affected victims", it claimed.
The Village Authority urged Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA) to compensate the newly constructed structures in the other route alignment as it had assured to compensate all those structures (either old or new) whichever existed at the time of first round of survey.
The Village Authority also alleged that with the transfer & posting of new CALA officials, the officials of NHIDCL have rejected the compensation of some of the structures by giving some unconvincing explanation, keeping aside the commitment given by CALA.
Alleging betrayal by the work agencies, the Village Authority cautioned that such attitude of the Agencies will not be tolerated.
The Tumuyon Khullen Village Authority further urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter and deliver justice at the earliest for smooth functioning of the ongoing construction work.
