Tablets gifted

Imphal, October 20 2022:
With the aim to provide digital learning platforms for students of Government secondary schools of the State, Samagra Shiksha, Manipur has distributed 5,000 tablets to 310 Government secondary schools.
The tablets were distributed under the State Wide Integrated Education Management System (SWIEMS) .
The distribution programme was held at the Samagra Shiksha, State Project Office at Babupara in the presence of Education Minister Th Basanta Singh as chief guest.
Speaking at the event, the Education Minister stressed on the importance of digitized mode of learning in Government schools in order to pace up with the private schools in Manipur and outside.
L Nandakumar Singh, Director of Education (S), who also attended the programme, highlighted that students' data, teachers and staff attendance can be monitored in real-time through the tablets.
Biometric attendance of teachers will also be introduced in the system.
This will enhance the efficiency of the teachers and improve administration, he said.
Hitesh Arora, Chief Financial Officer and Deepak Mittal, president Hitachi MGRM Net among others also attended the event.
