Medical camps organised

Phundrei Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a medical camp for ex-servicemen and veer naris of Thoubal, Kakching and Chandel districts on Thursday at HQ 28 Sector Assam Rifles.
According to PRO IGAR (D), the medical camp was organised in collaboration with the district health society of Kakching and Thoubal districts to reach out to the ex-servicemen and veer naris, who had rendered yeomen service to the nation.
The medical services were also extended to families of own and neighbouring Sector.
A team of specialists including physician, surgeon, gynaecologist, eye specialist, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist from district health society along with medical officers of Phundrei Batallion and dental team of 10 Dental unit Assam Rifles provided medical consultation and medicines to 15 ex-serviceman, one veer nari and 18 families.
Meanwhile, in continuation of its efforts to improve mutual trust, maintain peace and harmony in the region, Tengnoupal Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp for the villagers of Kwatha and other nearby villages at Kwatha village in Tengnoupal district on Wednesday.
A total of 145 villagers, including 30 males, 62 females and 53 children were examined during the medical camp and given medical advice and provided medicines.
Special focus was given on educating the villagers on contagious diseases and ways to prevent them.
