AR conducts friendly match, distributes sports items

Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) organised out a friendly football match at Beheng village in Churachandpur on Wednesday.
The friendly match was played between youth of Beheng village and Assam Rifles troops with the aim to motivate the youth to.
excel in the field of sports thereby promoting sports culture in border villages of Manipur and to channelise their energy in productive and wholesome activities.
Thirty one youngsters attended the event.
During the interaction, the youth were briefed about sports culture in India, importance of healthy and stress free life and the opportunities available in different sports fields.
They were also inspired to follow their dream sport and strive to bring accolades to their family, state and the country.
In Veng, Assam Rifles distributed sports items and other essential materials to the youth of HQ Veng Youth Organisation (HYO) and relief centre at the PHED HQ Churachandpur on Thursday.
The aim of this outreach was to provide moral support and motivation to the youth of the displaced families.
The distribution of sports items and essential materials is a part of the Assam Rifles' ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian assistance and foster a sense of security and belonging amongst the affected population as the force remains resolutely dedicated to supporting the local administration in restoring peace and normalcy to the region, informed a statement issued by PRO IGAR(S) .
