Chandrayaan-3 'staff Jamies Leichonbam feted

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh senior project officer and Chandrayaan-3 Mission non-tecnnical staff James Leichonbam was felicitated by Leimaram Yaipha Lamjing Lup at its Leimaram office on Friday.
James is the son of L Narshing of Leimaram who had shifted to D Phailen village, Churachandpur district, but due to present situation his family has been staying in the relief camp set up at Scheduled Ca'ste Girls' Hostel, Leimaram.
When the ethnic clashes erupted, James was not present in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, James appreciated the gesture and recalled that his initial schooling was done in Churachandpur and from class IX to XII at CC Higher Secondary School before he graduated with Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) degree from Mangalore University and completed his MBA degree from Manipur University and then joined ISRO headquarters at Bengaluru in November 2013 and at ISRO's centre at Sriharikota, AP in 2016 .
From there he was included as non-technical staff of Chandrayaan 3 Mission and did his best for the success of the Mission, he added.
Mentioning that his father is a farmer, James also emphasised that he will support the future generation in whatever way he can.
The felicitation function was attended by Leimaram High School retired headmaster A Tolchou Singh, Leimaram Yaipha Lamjing Lup president Sh Budhi Singh and Manipur Police retired inspector M Amuyaima Singh as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
