Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy : Bishomcha picks record 7 wickets in ESU's 271-run victory

Bishomcha collected a haul 7 scalps to hand ESU-Wangkhei Palace Compound a 271-run victory over RULE, Meitram Makha Leikai at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground in the ongoing 4th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2023-24 .
It was ESU's fourth Group B victory and fourth loss of the Meitram Makha Leikai team.
ESU won the toss and opted to bat first.
They racked up a massive 324 runs courtesy H Abhinash's half century (58-ball 50) and significant knocks from H Donba 41, H Naoba 43, Suraj 38 and Bishomcha 27 and held RULE to 53 all out in 19 overs with Bishomcha clinching 7 wickets for 15 runs in 7 overs and Simesh picking two wickets for 24 runs in 7 overs.

Indrakumar of RULE enjoyed a five wicket haul conceding 38 runs in 7 overs in ESU's innings and added highest 21 runs in the chase.
Bishomcha deservedly lifted the man of the match trophy.
At Dhobi Lampak, YUCC-Kwakeithel rode on Ricky's 60-ball 52 to seal a 8-wicket win over SHADOW-Thangmeiband who won the toss and were bundled out for 104 runs in 29.5 overs.
Maverick (16), James (11) and Yohenba (11) were among the double digit scorers for SHADOW as YUCC's Bidyashwor (4/10) and Bonny (3/19) shared the bulk of wickets.
Bidyashwor who added 16* and picked four wickets was adjudged man of the match.
In a Group A match staged at Model Hr Sec School and Oriental College Ground, Model Club ended MPA-Thounaojam's three game winning streak riding on Ch Chiran's five wicket haul.
It was Model Club's third win in 6 matches.
Model Club added 129 before being bowled out in 33 overs despite Biyon Naorem's 69-ball 65 and S Ben John's 23 .
The innings saw E Rohit (3/31), Ch Albish (3/33) and Th Chinglensana (2/22) of MPA shine with their bowling.
MPA however faltered in the chase as Ch Chiran (5/16), Biyon Naorem (2/26) were in the best form and had to end the innings at 66 within 21.5 overs.
Ch Chiran was eventually adjudged man of the match. In another Group A match, Achouba produced an all round performance to earn YWC-L second victory in 5 matches.
Put in to bat first, YWC racked up 183 runs for 7 thanks to Thoungamba 41, Achouba 31 and Sushil 21 before skittling out Al-Ameen for 93 runs within 23.2 overs for the big win.
In YWC's innings, Ruhal picked three wickets for 35 runs in 7 overs.
Ziad of YWC-L also picked two wickets (2/23) to set up Al-Ameen collapse at 93 .
Achouba was declared man of the match.
