Imphal, October 27 2023:
Clarifying on her earlier statement regarding the separate administration demand raised by Kuki MLAs, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda explained that the separate administration demand raised by seven BJP MLAs along with two KPA MLAs and one independent MLA from the Kuki community has nothing to do with BJP's stand and policy.
She further said that the party's state unit had already wrote letter to the central leaders for taking up necessary disciplinary actions against the seven Kuki MLAs of BJP.
Sharda made the clarification in a press meet regarding her earlier statement, in which, she claimed that no BJP MLAs are demanding separate administration.
Sharda further said that BJP stands for the integrity of Manipur.
Even if the seven BJP MLAs from a particular community have raised the demand, it is not a demand made from the party and should not be interpreted as a demand raised by BJP MLAs but by Kuki MLAs as the party will never support such a move, she affirmed.
Mention may be made here that of the seven BJP MLAs from Kuki community, who raised the separate administration demand two are cabinet ministers.
Even though BJP Manipur Pradesh stated that the party had written letter to the party's central leadership, no actions have been taken up so far.
