Model, YWC-L, ESU & YUCC win big in MNCA U16 Boys Trophy

Model Club, YWC-L, ESU and YUCC all made light work of their opponents in Friday's fixtures of the 4th MNCA U16 Boys Trophy.
Model Club brushed aside MPA by 84 runs in a low-scoring match at Oriental College Ground.
The winning side batted first and were dismissed for 129 in 33 overs.
Biyon Naorem emerged as the highest run-getter for his team with a knock of 65, followed by S Benjohn (23) and Ch Chiran (13) .
In defence of their low total, Model produced a brilliant bowling display to bowl out their opponents in 21.5 overs for 66.Ch Chiran was the chief destroyer for Model, claiming 5 scalps as Biyon took 2 wickets, and Bishal and A Bobby bagged one each.
Earlier, E Rohit and Ch Albush picked 3 wickets each for MPA.
YWC, on the other hand, enjoyed a 90-run victory over Al-Ameen at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Asked to bat first, YWC posted 183 for 7 in the allotted 35 overs with contributions from Thoungamba (41), Achouba (31), Kumar (22), Sushil (21 not out) and Roshan (6 not out) .
YWC then bowled well to bundle out Al-Ameen in 22.2 overs for 93 for their comfortable win.
Achouba was the pick of YWC's bowlers, dishing out a haul of 5 wickets as Ziad snapped 2 wickets, with Athouba, Sushil and Roshan taking one each for their team.
ESU overpowered RULE by 271 runs at Cherapur.
Electing to bat, ESU smashed a mammoth 324 for 9 with the help of a collective batting effort by H Abhinash (50), H Naoba (43), H Donba (41) and S Venus (21) .
After their strong batting performance, ESU followed that up with a sizzling bowling display to wipe out RULE'S batting order in 19 overs for 53.Bishomcha turned hero as his fiery 7-over spell earned him 7 wickets while Simesh took 2 wickets in their overwhelming triumph against their opponents.
At Dhobi Lampak, YUCC thumped SHADOW by 8 wickets.
YUCC bundled out SHADOW in 29.5 overs for 104 with the help of their bowling duo of Bidyshwor, who snapped 4 wickets, and Bonny, who claimed 3 scalps.
Joychand chipped in with a wicket.
In their chase, YUCC took 20 overs to achieve the target courtesy of Ricky (52 not out), Bidyashwor (16 not out) and Bonny (16) .
