Samata Party asks Govt to resolve crisis

Expressing concern over the protracted humanitarian crisis in the state, Samata Party national general secretary NA Khoan said that the government should make all out efforts to resolve the crisis and restore peace and normalcy at the earliest.
Addressing a press conference at Manipur Press Club here on Friday, Khoan said that he came to meet the Governor and the chief minister to discuss the present crisis in the state and its possible solution.
Stating that he will try to meet the Prime Minister and press for early resolution to the crisis, the national secretary expressed belief that the government will galvanise its resources to resolve the crisis at the earliest.
While commending initiative of the government to provide shelter homes to the displaced people, he, nevertheless, emphasised that the government needs to expedite the peace restoration process.
Samata Party Manipur State Committee president Haji Asaraf Ali, who also attended the press conference, expressed concern over the protracted the crisis, which has completed almost six months.
