State bodybuilders accorded warm reception

Imphal, April 10 2024:
State bodybuilders who participated in the 13th Federation Cup-Senior Men's Bodybuilding and Physique Sports National Championship 2024 were accorded a warm reception upon their arrival at Imphal International Airport yesterday by the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA) .
Mention may be made that K Arnold (80 kg) and Ng Surchandra (85 kg) won Manipur a gold and a silver medal respectively at the championship which was held from April 6 to 7 at Vasco, Goa.

W Kiran and Khanrin Shaiza in the meantime finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 75 kg and 65 kg bodybuilding competitions.
250 athletes from across the country participated in the championship.
The State team was led by K Anand and Y Nilbir as manager and coach.
Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) also felicitated 4 athletes and a coach who represented Manipur at the championship, at the office premises of Superintendent of Police (Sports) and the Commandant, 1st Manipur Rifles Bn today.
Notably Hav K Arnold (5 MR) and Hav Ng Surchandra (7 IRB) of MPSC won medals at the championship as HC W Kiran (IW) finished fourth.
CP P Nandajit, TML (60 kg) also participated in the 60 kg category competition.
