Congress party's candidate in Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, Alfred Kanngam Arthur, along with Victor Keishing, working president MPCC and other Congress members visited Churachandpur today.
Alfred Kanngam Arthur along with T Manga Vaiphei, Victor Keishing and Lalnghet Hmar, president, Churachandpur DCC met leaders of the Zomi Council, Kuki Inpi Manipur and Indigenous Tribal Leader's Forum (ITLF) .
Speaking at a district and block level Congress workers meeting held at T Manga Vaiphei' residence, Red-Cross Road, Churachandpur, Alfred Kanngam Arthur implored the gathering to stand up for their rights and never compromise on their due share as enshrined and guaranteed by the Constitution of India.
He said, people should be united to fight for the rightful shares in all spheres.
Alfred Kanngam Arthur said that he would work sincerely for all sections of the society.
Victor Keishing told the Congress workers that secularism should be protected by the right thinking people.
He urged all Congress workers to work harder to secure the trust of the people.
He blamed the State Government for the crisis since the past 11 months.
Alfred Kanngam Arthur also visited KKL relief camp at Sangai University, Kaparang along with party workers.
He interacted with the inmates of the relief camp and listened to their grievances.
