Imphal, July 26 2023:
Stating as unfortunate the manner in which Manipur Police Commandos are being kept under 'house arrest' in Moreh, the Federation of Civil Society Organisation (FOCS) has urged the state government to deploy adequate number of state forces in the border town along with empowering them to discharge their duties.
In a release, FOCS information and public relations secretary Nerish Mangang said that the central para military forces remaining silent when Chin-Kuki nar-co-terrorists torched Meitei houses in Moreh town on Monday and Tuesday is akin to aiding the Kuki militants instead of trying to control the situation.

The release further demanded the state government to punish miscreants involved in burning down two buses carrying RAF personnel in Kangpokpi on their way to Imphal and actions against the RAF personnel (or assaulting the bus driver who was seeking for help from! the RAF from being assaulted by the miscreants.
The Md Tomba who has been abducted by the Kuki narco-terrorists should also be rescued and handed over to family members at the earliest.
The report of using the sericulture office complex in an area between Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts into a graveyard of the Kuki narco-terrorists should be stopped by the authority concerned, the release added.
