Delivering the keynote address, Dr Vedmani elaborated on the need for figuring out the nutritional and medicinal values of locally available and affordable fruits and vegetables and align our diet accordingly.
She highlighted the 5-Co-lour meal concept which prescribes for ensuring our meals have ingredients of at least five colours.
"Often we go for costly and non-organic fruits and vegetables that come from outside and sidestep locally available ones which are sometimes more nutritious.
We must understand the benefits of local foods and adopt them in our life," she said.
Stressing that proper and informed eating is critical, she guided the gathering with many easily adoptable adjustments and exhorted those present to adopt sustainable eating habits as a regular lifestyle practice and not as a fad to be given up after a few days.

Continuing with the concept of harnessing naturally available means for improving our wellness index, the resource persons from the Art of Living shared tips and techniques of harnessing our breath and attaining physical and mental wellness.
Describing food and breath as two critical sources of life force energy (prana), Brahmachari Dixon shared how proper knowledge of the two can lift our prana and ensure a more positive and healthy life.
