Professional Tax Enrolment Drive from Nov 1

Imphal, October 30 2023: The Department of Taxes, Government of Manipur, has informed that a State-wide Professional Tax Enrolment Drive will commence from November 1, 2023 .

The drive will cover private schools & colleges, private hospitals & clinics, private nursing homes, pharmacies, cable services, newspaper publishing house, hostels, restaurants, stone crushers, brick kiln, shops, handloom & handicrafts units, quarries, mills, other service providers, etc.

It will cover all kinds of professions, established trades & employment of all individuals who earn a living through any medium.

The drive will be carried out in all the districts for which district-wise teams have been constituted to assist and facilitate the enrolment process under the supervision of the DCs.

All Municipal Councils have also constituted their teams under the supervision of Director, MAHUD to enrol all shops and establishments under their jurisdiction.

The Department appeals to all the private traders, professionals, institutions, service providers, etc to extend cooperation by enrolling themselves during the special drive and contribute in augmenting the resource base of the State.

The enrolment of these institutions/ organisations/ units in the professional tax portal can be done through the website, "https://professionaltax.mn.gov.in" .
