MHA mourns demise of Sanasam Rajen

The Manipur Hawkers' Association has conveyed its deepest condolences upon the passing of its member Sanasam Rajen Singh on October 27 .
As per a statement issued by Laikhuram Surjit Singh, general secretary, MHA, Sanasam Rajen Singh, s/o S Ibotombi Singh from Mongshangei Maning Leikai Imphal West sustained a head injury on August 31 due to a road accident while he was delivering newspapers.
He succumbed to his injury on October 27 after a long period of treatment.
MHA shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed that may the departed soul rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
In addition, MHA has pointed out the sizable number of hawkers who have passed away or suffered grave injuries and left unable to work due to road accidents and appealed to both the hawkers and the public of Manipur to exercise caution while driving in early mornings.
Further, recalling Chief Minister N Biren Singh's assurance to extend help in providing insurance cover to the Association members, MHA has urged the Chief Minister to act on it promptly.
