State all set for Rashtriya Ekta Diwas today

The state government is fully prepared to organ ise a series of programmes on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on Tuesday.
This day is commemorated nationwide to honour the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
The primary goal of this observance is to reinforce the message of national uni ty and raise awareness about Sardar Patel s remarkable contributions to the formation of modern India.
The state-level Rashtriya Ekta Diwas event is scheduled to take place at the 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles Parade Ground at 9 AM.
It will feature a March Past parade and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge administering ceremony.
Chief Minister N Biren will attend the event as chief guest.
Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) will host a "Run for Unity", which will bring together people from all segments of society to promote the message of National Unity.
The run will kick off from Khuman Lampak.
National Unity Day events will also be organised in all district headquarters.
District administrations have been instructed to coordinate these programmes.
Furthermore, National Unity Day will be observed in various prisons throughout the state.
Programmes with a focus on national unity and the integrity of the nation will be conducted within the prison facilities as part of the state's celebrations.
