Imphal, August 31 2023:
Narco-terrorist Kuki militants are so high on drugs that they are seeing Chief Minister N Biren Singh as a Meetei, not as the CM of Manipur, Shiv Sena Manipur Unit president M Tombi has remarked.
Addressing a press meet at Shiv Sena's office in Babupara on Thursday, M Tombi accused Kuki narco-terrorists of putting on the masks of CM Biren and attacking innocent farmers and killing civilians, some in their sleep.
It seems that the narco-terrorist Kuki groups is seeing CM N Biren as a Meetei, not as the CM of Manipur.
He continued that in 2017, large number of youths fell into drug habits and there were incidents of vehicles of security forces being torched because the forces went to suspected areas to catch the drug dealers.
After this, initiatives were taken up to curb poppy plantation in the hill areas and introduce alternative crops, in addition to holding cabinet meetings in the hills and taking up various developmental works for the sake of future generations.
Amid this, Kuki narco-terrorists, who were unsuccessful in causing chaos in Bangladesh, Assam and Myanmar, and did not have a land, culture, language and art to call of their own but live on carelessly while high on drugs, manage to cause the conflict in Manipur.
While demanding for a separate administration at one instance, they are demanding something else at another time.
Amid this, they are also burning down Meetei houses, which begs the question if they truly believe they would get a separate administration through violence.
Thus, he urged the central government especially the PM and the union home minister to arrange some kind of group discussion with the Kuki CSOs, their eligible leaders, 10 MLAs, other CSOS and political parties, in consultation with the state government, to come up with a long term policy or solution.
