Imphal, October 22 2023:
MLA of Nungba Constituency Dinganglung (Dipu) Gangmei has contended that there won't be social harmony in Manipur if every community thinks it is only their aspiration which is legitimate.

At the ceremony, Dipu Gangmei continued that many issues have taken place in Manipur in the past too and all of them were solved by holding dialogues.
He said that the parties in conflict must set aside their differences and hold a dialogue if peace is to be restored in the State.
There won't be social harmony if every community thinks that it is only their aspiration which is legitimate, Dipu Gangmei continued and added that "we must understand the common interest of all the people to save Manipur" .
Dipu Gangmei went on to state that Manipur is home to different communities and "we must protect the pluralistic composition of our State" .
Saying that forgiveness is the only way forward, the Nungba Constituency MLA appealed to the majority Meetei to play the central role in ending the protracted violence in the State.
Every citizen has a role to play to restore normalcy in Manipur, he continued.
Dipu Gangmei, on the other hand, said that he is delighted over a Zeliangrong woman being appointed as a Judge of the Manipur High Court.
