282 receive pension cards

Bishnupur, October 22 2023:
Pensions cards were distributed to 282 people from Moirang Assembly Constituency today under the Chief Minister's Widow Pension Scheme and Manipur Old age Pension Scheme.
The 282 persons consisted of 35 widows and 247 senior citizens.
The pension card distribution ceremony was held at Moirang AC MLA Th Shanti's Office at Moirang Philem Leikai with the attendance of the MLA; Ph Magha, president, NPP Moirang Block; Y Modhu, advisor, Moirang Kendra Progressive Front; K Achouba, president, Thangjing Seva Mandal; S Kumar, retd Principal, Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School and Ch Robin, president, Ch Robin, NPP Youth Block Moirang.
Speaking on the occasion MLA Th Shanti stated that the ongoing conflict inflicted heavy losses on the people of Manipur.
Aside from this, the conflict is also obstructing the State's path to development.
Highlighting the need to end the crisis in order to restore normalcy and bring Manipur on the road to progress, he said that the State Government is pouring all its efforts to resolve the tumultuous situation.
The MLA also raised a voice against circulation of fake information in social media.
Further, he stated that people have lost five months of development due to the conflict and urged them to work collectively to make up for the lost time.
