Workshop / production concludes, 'Khubak Eshel' presented

The workshop cum production of the play "The Weeping Statue" organised by Palem Panthou Cultural Trust concluded today at the auditorium of Manipur Dramatic Union in Yaiskul Police Lane.
The workshop cum production was conducted under the aegis of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
The valedictory function was attended by MDU president S Keshoram; EZCC Kolkata, Board of Governors member, Budha Chingtham; theatre director L Brajamohon Singh and Soibamcha Indrakumar as presidium members.
As part of the function, the play "The Weeping Statue", written by Budha Chingtham and directed by Dr Salam Shantibala was presented.
The gathering also observed one minute of silence to pay respect to the brave heroes who gave their lives in the present conflict.
Meanwhile, a new production of Kongpal Nupi Ishei Marup, Kojngpal Chanam Leikai entitled, "Khubak Eshei" was presented today at Kongpal Kshetri Leikai Pebam Mandap.
"Khubak Eshei" was produced under the aegis of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
The programme was attended by former Up-Adhyaksha of Imphal East District, Dr Kshetri Tama Devi; Kongpam Nupi Ishei Marup senior advisor, Khomdram Surendra Singh; and JN Manipur Dance Academy, retired Guru, Akoibam Ibomcha Singh as presidium members.
Similarly, Guru Natek Meitei Pung Research Institute presented its new production titled "Teel Taal Achouba (Nat Sankirtan)" at Radha Govinda Maridop, Nambol Pukhrambam Mayai Leikai today.
"Teel Taal Achouba" was produced under the aegis of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
At the event, the gathering also offered floral tributes to a photograph of Guru Natek.
