Governor, CM extend greetings

With the arrival of Cheiraoba, Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister N Biren Singh have led in extending their heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur.
In a statement, Governor Anusuiya Uikey said that Cheiraoba symbolizes the coming of a New Year and is a festival celebrated by every household with great enthusiasm and gaiety.
She urged people to strive towards the goal of bringing peace, prosperity and progress.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh stated that the festival signifies the onset of spring, a season of rejuvenation and renewal when nature bursts forth with new life and vitality.
On the occasion of Cheiraoba, the Chief Minister wished everyone good health, wealth and happiness.
Extending Cheiraoba greetings to the people, MAHUD Minister Yumnam Khemchand offered prayers for a harmonious, peaceful and prosperous Manipur.
In addition, the United Committee Manipur (UCM) conveyed warm Cheiraoba greetings and expressed hope that the festival will bring peaceful coexistence among all communities who will in turn work together to safeguard Manipur and usher peace in the State.
