Poll preparations intensifies in Kamjong

Kamjong, April 12 2024:
With barely two weeks left to go on poll in the second phase of 18th Lok Sabha Elections, the District Election Office, Kamjong yesterday conducted SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) campaign at various parts of the district with the theme 'No Voters to be left behind' .
The campaign was conducted to educate the electors about their democratic right to vote and also to give awareness to the people about the importance of free and fair elections as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India.
The SVEEP campaign started at 43/62-Chassad area where several villagers took part in the campaign.
SVEEP wall posters with the theme 'My Vote My Choice My Right' were pasted along with the distribution of t-shirts and caps during the campaign.
The second leg of the campaign was held at 43/ 61-Kamj ong main bazar.
Shopkeepers and women vendors took part in the campaign.
The campaign concluded at Kamjong Higher Secondary School with the participation of many school students and teachers.
Newly-registered voter documentation along with videography was carried out as a part of the campaign.
BLOs of Kamjong and Chassad along with officials of the District Election Office, Kamjong also took part in the campaign.

District Election Office, Kamjong today conducted third batch of Polling Officers' Training at the Kamjong Election Hall (NIELIT Hall) located inside the Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul, with SDO Phungyar Rang David Kung, MCS as the trainer.
A total of 37 Polling -Officers (POs) including 18; female POs took part in the training in which they were trained to operate the different parts of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
A hands-on training on EVM was also conducted during today's training.
Kamjong District, having a single Assembly Constituency of 43-Phungyar (ST) AC with 78 polling stations will go on poll in the second phase of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls scheduled on April 26 .
