Weekly outreach programme held

Taragi Cheishu, a conglomeration of Meetei intellectuals and organisations, on Sunday organised its weekly outreach programme at Kumbi by conducting health checkup, psychological counselling & support system development.
In a release, Taragi Cheisu convenor Prof Dhakeswar Singh informed that 28 children, 157 women, and 54 men were examined and treated for various ailments during the health camp which covered 4 relief camps in Kumbi.
Medical care was provided by team of doctors from JNIMS and Shija Hospital led by Prof Rajendra Thangjam, Senior Cardiologist, Prof N Kameshore, HOD Pediatrics, Dr N Subodha, Senior Consultant, Gyne & Obs (Shija), Dr Somorendro Paonam, Urologist, Shija Hospital, Dr Ratan, Neologist, JNIMS, and Dr Amit Mayanglambam, Neurosurgeon, JNIMS.
The medical team carried their own equipment including echocardiogram instruments and ECG instruments.
Members of All Meetei Medicos Union, JNIMS manned the Pharmacy along with Anand, Pharmacist JNIMS and distributed free medicines.
Representatives of Taragi Cheishu including Khaidem Mani, RK Nimai, A Notuneshori Devi, Goutam Aribam, Rabindraa, Prof Ch Ibohal Meetei, Dr Rajesh Yumkhaibam and members of Cine Artists' Guild, Manipur led by Takhellambam Lokendra, president CAG and renown film actor Hamom Sadananda also took part in the Free Health Camp.
As part of the event, an interactive session was also conducted.
