JD(U) submits memo to Governor

A delegation of Janata Dal (United), Manipur State Unit submitted a memorandum to Governor Anusuiya Uikey today requesting for a rehabilitation package for the drivers of buses, vans and trucks affected by the ongoing crisis at Raj Bhavan.
The JD(U) MSU team consisted of president Ksh Biren Singh, Dr Nimaichand Luwang, Samuel Jendai and O Nabakishore Singh, a statement from the Governor's Secretariat informed.
In the memorandum, the JD(U) MSU also urged the Governor to expedite the process of restoring peace and normalcy in the State.
The delegation informed the Governor that the livelihood of several drivers has been lost leading to extreme hardship and untold miseries for their families.
Lauding the continuous efforts of the Governor and her visits to the affected families and the injured students, they also discussed in detail about the prevailing law and order situation in the State.
Governor Uikey assured to look into the concerns and grievances of the affected drivers and seek their cooperation for identification of the drivers.
