Imphal, October 02 2023:
Thangmeiband MLA Kh Joykisan has said that solution to the present unrest in Manipur could not be brought due to weakness of security advisor sent by the Centre.
Union home minister Amit Shah sent Kuldiep Singh to Manipur as security advisor to contain the violence and restore peace and normalcy.
Kuldiep was even given the charge of Unified Command but he is still unable to resolve the crisis due to his weakness, Joykisan claimed and expressed concern that the state might continue to experience unrest situation if Kuldiep remains as the security advisor.
While lauding the CBI for arresting some suspects in the students' killing case within few days, he urged the CBI to retrieve the bodies of the two students at the earliest and announced that he will give Rs 2 lakh as reward to the central investigating agency if able to recover the bodies.
MLA Joykisan made the announcement during the Gandhi Jayanti observance organised by Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation at Thangmeiband Tombisana High School, Khoyathong on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, Kh Joykisan said that being the elected representative of the people, ne will work as per pulse of the people.
"I honour party leaders and abide by party's principles but working as per pulse and voice of the people is more important," he added.
According to Joykisan, it is a big question among the people as to why the violence could not be contained even after five months and left it unresolved still.
One main reason for this is Kuldiep Singh's ineffective policies, he said and questioned as to what the security advisor has been doing in the past five months and what advice he has been giving to the state and Central forces.
Further asking if Kuldiep Singh gives directive to security force to remain as mute spectator when houses are torched and intermittent firing happens, Joykisan said that ineffective policies of the security advisor made the government and the ruling party face embarrassing situation.
