"Build atmosphere for customer satisfaction"

Additional Chief Vigilance Officer (ACVO), Punjab National Bank, Vigilance Unit, Kolkata, Raman Kumar Singh has advised the staff of Manipur Rural Bank (MRB) to shun corruption and build an atmosphere for customer satisfaction.
He was speaking as the chief guest in the observation of "Vigilance Awareness Week, 2023" which began today at the Head Office of MRB, Keishampat, Imphal.
Stressing on the importance of creating a conducive environment for making MRB more thriving and satisfaction to the customers, the ACVO maintained that the staff in the said bank should do justice while executing their duties.
He continued that not performing duties well by bankers is also a part of corruption while maintaining that the primary duties of the bankers and staff in banks is to open accounts and provide loans to the genuine customers in a fair & transparent manner.
Raman Kumar assured that he will look after every kind of obstruction coming towards the path of executing duties in a fair manner by any staff in MRB while warning that stringent action will be taken up against those who do any kind of wrong doings.
Emphasizing on the steps being taken by PNB for strengthening vigilance management and maintaining transparency in banking affairs, the ACVO highlighted the application of Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) and asked all to reap its benefits without any fear.
He also said that complaints lodged through PIDPI will be resolved without disclosing the identities and causing harm to the complainants.
He then advised the MRB staff to organise customers' meetings to generate awareness about the affairs of the bank and strengthen the customers' relationship while expressing hope that MRB will do wonderful things in the future.
The function was also attended by MRB General Manager S Ranjit Singh and MRB Vigilance Officer S Nanaocha.
As part of the event, the participants also took the integrity pledge.
Mention may be made here that Manipur Rural Bank was established on May 28, 1981 as a joint undertaking of the Government of India, Government of Manipur and Punjab National Bank (Sponsor Bank) .
