Delhi bound delegates leave Jiribam to attend mass rally

Jiribam, October 30 2023:
A Delhi bound team of 23 delegates of Jiribam were flagged off today to attend the mass rally to be held on November 3 demanding for the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) by scrapping the National Pension Scheme.
Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF), Jiribam Branch president N Soroja Singha flagged off the team led by MGSF, Jiribam branch Advisor Chingakham Dhirendra Singh from Irabot complex, Jiribam today.
Thousands of Government employees are expected to attend the mass rally which will be staged from Ram Leela Maidan till Parliament House.
Speaking at the occasion, N Soroja Singha extended best wishes to the team who will be attending the mass rally and prayed for their well-being.
Around 100 delegates of Manipur Government Higher Secondary Lectures Welfare Association; Manipur Government Services Federation; Manipur State Pension Union and Manipur Secretariat Services Association will take part in the rally being organised under the aegis of All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) and Confederation of Central Government Services (CCGS) .
Some of the major demands of the rally include implementation of 8th Pay Commission for pensioners and employees, restoration of Old Pension Scheme (OPS) by abolishing the National Pension Scheme (NPS), fill up the vacant posts, disperse the pending benefits of retired employees and payment of pending arrears etc.
