Women's cricket: PTRC crush AKSDO by 127 runs

Imphal, December 28 2022:
PTRC (Patsoi) made light work of AKSDO (Khangabok) in a 127-run win on Wednesday to stay atop the point table of the 2nd MNCA Women's One Day Trophy.
The Patsoi side posted a competitive total of 205 for 4 in 25 overs after being asked to bat first.
RK Linthoingambi was unbeaten on 49 off 23 balls, Linthoingam Chanu Laishram got dismissed for 44, Kiranbala Palujam scored 36 and Manimacha Angom made 30 (not out) in the PTRC innings.
In response, wasteful AKSDO batted the full 25 overs but could only muster 74 for 4 as Shelina Chanu Irengbam (27 not out) and Mangalleibi Salam (13) were the only batters who got into double digits.
PTRC's bowling attack saw Linthoingambi Chanu Laishram and Ranjita Chanu take a wicket apiece in their massive victory.
Earlier, Bijiya Khundrakpam claimed one wicket for AKSDO.
The win helps PTRC remain on top of the point table with eight points from five matches.
They are just two points ahead of THAU who are on a three-game unbeaten streak while PTCC have so far registered three wins from their four matches.
AKSDO, on their hand, occupy fourth place in the standings with two points from five games, followed by MODEL and FORCE.
Meanwhile, the match between THAU and FORCE has been rescheduled for December 31 .
